Our kids after-school gardening enrichment is the only program of its kind in the Bay Area.
Hands-on classes focus on the joy of gardening in any season, and learning how to grow a greener, more sustainable world.
Designed for budding gardeners ages 5-8, of all experience levels
What a Typical Session Looks Like:
Each class is thoughtfully designed to balance movement, creativity, and connection:
🌱 Hands-on gardening
Kids get to plant seasonal crops, tend to the garden, learn to growing vegetables from food scraps, and do experiments and hands-on activities to learn about soil health, composting, and protecting wildlife.
🎨 Nature-based creativity
Art projects inspired by the garden using natural materials, encouraging imagination and self-expression.
🥕 Simple cooking & tasting
Every class includes a wholesome, kid-loved snack, handmade by us or often the students themselves using fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables —helping kids connect what they grow to what they eat.
**For younger kiddos, ages 3-5, our Littlest Gardeners single classes are held quarterly; learn more over on our Family Experiences page.
