After-School Gardening Adventures at Contra Costa Jewish Day School
Hello, CCJDS Families! We’re so excited to offer your kiddos a super fun, after-school enrichment option that not only gets them digging in the dirt, but also teaches them how to contribute to a more sustainable world. We are hoping to be able to offer an after-school class series in the Fall, but are coming out for this one-time class, and we’d love for your kiddos to join!

✅ WHO CAN ATTEND: students going into Kinder-3rd grades (activities are age-appropriate and tailed to the grade-level)
✅ CLASS DATE: May 19, 3:30-4:30pm
✅ COST OF SINGLE CLASS: $30/student
✅ CLASS LOCATION: In CCJDS’s garden space!

DURING OUR SERIES, STUDENTS LEARN THE FOLLOWING (THIS SINGLE CLASS IS JUST A TASTE!)
🥕 Plant and care for their seasonal crops
🌿 Learn about plants and nature through creative art projects they can take home
🍐 Cook their own seasonal snack to enjoy in class
🌎 Learn about eco-friendly gardening practices and sustainable living
